Terms and Conditions

WARNING: This is a legal document that affects your rights.

1. I acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participation, including the potential for serious injury, permanent disability, or death. Accordingly, I release and indemnify all individuals, groups, and organisations directly or indirectly involved in the practice of Judo from any and all claims, demands, or proceedings that may arise from my participation. This includes any liability for injury, loss, or damage related to my participation in Judo (including negligence by others or myself). This waiver applies permanently to the Judo Federation of Australia (Qld) Inc., Kizuna Judo Goldcoast Pty Ltd, and their directors, partners, managers, officers, agents, contractors, employees, volunteers (including medical and paramedical personnel), owners, licensees, and occupiers of the training facility, any legal or local authorities with jurisdiction over the venue, as well as promoters, sponsors, and event organisers. This waiver and indemnity remain binding on my heirs, executors, legal representatives, and assigns.

2. I consent to receive any medical assessment and treatment (including emergency transport) deemed necessary by the organisers of Judo Federation of Australia (Qld) Inc. or Kizuna Judo Goldcoast Pty Ltd during or after participation in Judo.

3. I give permission for my name, image, and likeness to be used by the organisers of Judo Federation of Australia (Qld) Inc. or Kizuna Judo Goldcoast Pty Ltd in any media for the purposes of promotion, broadcast, or reporting in relation to Judo activities before, during, or after participation.

4. I understand that the compulsory insurance for Judo participants may not cover all injuries, losses, or damages I may sustain.

5. I acknowledge that the safety measures taken by Judo Federation of Australia (Qld) Inc. or Kizuna Judo Goldcoast Pty Ltd are provided as a service and do not guarantee my safety or the safety of other participants.

6. I accept full responsibility for my personal belongings during my participation in Judo.

7. I disclose below any known medical or physical condition that may affect my participation in Judo or be relevant in the event of medical treatment.

8. I accept the risk of participating in Judo even with the disclosed medical conditions.

9. I agree to follow all rules, instructions, and codes of conduct established by Judo Federation of Australia (Qld) Inc. or Kizuna Judo Goldcoast Pty Ltd. I acknowledge that the organisers may modify the format or conditions of participation at their discretion, and this agreement will remain binding under the revised conditions.

10. I understand that participating in Judo involves real risks, including but not limited to overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, and collisions with other participants or spectators, which may result in serious injury or death.

11. I declare that I am not aware of any existing health or physical condition that would pose a heightened risk to myself or others through my participation in Judo. If any such condition exists, I have disclosed it to the organisers in a separate letter attached to this application.

12. I understand that I should not participate in Judo or any training unless I have received appropriate instruction or medical clearance if I have a pre-existing medical or physical condition.

13. I have read, understood, and agree to the above terms and conditions.
